WHAT an absolute irony that Wigan travellers will soon be able to benefit from evening and Sunday bus journeys offered by Network Warrington.
This will be music to the ears, no doubt, of the many areas of Warrington, for whom public transport on a Sabbath, and after it goes dark, is but a distant memory.
Will we be in the position soon that you can get to parts of Newtonle- Willows, Golborne, Abram and Lower Ince on Sundays, and struggle to reach Latchford or Westy before 11am on Warrington’s premier operator?
One word of warning for our friends underneath Wilderspool Bridge though – I’m not sure if Transport for Greater Manchester will be quite as forgiving as Warrington Borough Council when it comes to any cancellations or late running services.
