IN respect of the announcement that Carillion has gone into liquidation leaving PFI projects in jeopardy and thousands of jobs at risk.

Once again it is expected that Joe Public will pick up the tab for its failure as it did in the financial crisis in 2010.

It also states the pension fund has a shortfall.

Why are companies being allowed to dig into the pension fund in order to prop up the failing business?

Governments past and present have a responsibility to ensure this type of practice is no longer allowed and have tighter control of these type of projects to ensure these type of things continue to happen.
