I AM a resident in Billington Close, Great Sankey.
The high school sent letters out telling all parents not to drop their children off in Billington Close from January as the new hub now has access for school traffic from the main road.
Unfortunately parents have ignored this and we repeatedly have parents dropping children off at the junction of our close and reversing back out blocking the whole road.
Last Wednesday my close was completely blocked by an irresponsible parent who dropped children off and nearly reversed straight into me.
When I’ve challenged him about it I got abuse. Obviously he can’t read letters and it doesn’t happen in the street where he lives.
Seconds later a woman did exactly the same thing, the road and cul de sac are far too narrow for the volume of traffic.
It’s a tragic accident waiting to happen.
