I AM writing this letter not just for myself, but for all the other old people in Warrington.

I am 81 years old but still in good health.

I am disabled and I have had surgery on my spine and a new hip.

Not long ago I had to ask for help and when I came out of hospital I was sent carers.

Those carers cost me more than £1,000. I had to stop them.

I had to borrow money to pay for the care I got.

Where do they think old people can find that amount of money?

My 87-year-old brother who lives on his own was also charged £1,000.

It is daylight robbery, what a cruel way to treat old people, some of who live on their own.
