I WAS chatting to my grandmother about the Bay Horse pub (Warrington Guardian, September 29).
She was there in March 1952 for her honeymoon.
She travelled from Belfast to Liverpool on the boat and stayed at the Bay Horse in her uncle’s pub (Jack Barr and his wife Gladis Bar).
There is meant to be a statue of Jack Barr and she was telling me of some sort of memorial to the Second World War.
Do you know where I could find it?
