IT was interesting to read Patrick Mullee’s remarks in the Warrington Guardian (October 27) regarding inequality between the north and south of Warrington.
I will refer to another article in the Guardian concerning Cllr Terry O’Neill and his fight to relocate Burtonwood’s post office from its existing location to within the library at Burtonwood.
These type of negotiations didn’t take place when Lymm Post Office was closed unexpectedly.
I appreciate it was a sudden unannounced closure but still Lymm has no post office and hasn’t done so for nearly a year now.
Is it seen that the people of Lymm do not deserve or merit having a post office? Instead they are forced to drive miles to collect their pension or catch a bus on an inefficient service.
Another example of inequality between the north and south of the town.
