IN response to Alf Clemo’s letter regarding Cllr Mike Hannon (Warrington Guardian, October 19).
What Alf Clemo omitted to mention in his appraisal of Cllr Hannon is that he had been handsomely paid by council taxpayers over the years.
Not only him but his wife and daughter have also been paid out of the public purse.
So they haven’t done it out of the goodness of their hearts have they Mr Clemo?
As for your criticism of me, you know nothing about myself.
Just for the record I am always lobbying local parish councillors and ward councillors to get things done in Grappenhall and the south of Warrington Two successes in the past 12 months are repainting of give way and road markings to improve road safety in the area and the resurfacing of Shadewood Crescent that started on October 16.
The only difference Mr Clemo is that unlike the Hannon clan I do not expect the taxpayer to pay for my efforts.
I do it to improve the lives of people living in the south of Warrington whose needs are being ignored by a Labour-controlled council GARY BEBBINGTON Grappenhall
