I WAS appalled to read the piece in the Warrington Guardian (August 24) with regards the fundraising events being organised by Momentum Warrington, Momentum being the hard left political organisation behind the support for Jeremy Corbyn and his push to become the next Prime Minister.

Warrington is a town that was attacked by the terrorist organisation called the IRA.

The IRA have admitted to the dastardly deed where they placed bombs in waste bins in the centre of town on a Saturday morning with the intended consequences of indiscriminate murder of Warringtonians.

Many on that particular morning could be children out shopping for Mother’s Day gifts.

How many people attending these fundraising events for Jeremy Corbyn would not be prepared to state openly that they condemn the IRA for the killing of those two little boys and the maiming of many others for what they did when they bombed Warrington?

Yet the man they are fundraising for and who wants to be our next PM is the same man who has supported the IRA all his life, attended numerous memorial and fundraising events over the years and expressed his open support of that terrorist organisation.

The nearest anyone has got Jeremy Corbyn to specifically condemn the IRA is for him to just reply, ‘I condemn all terrorists’.

He can’t condemn the IRA because it is on record how he has supported them in many ways over the years.

Personally I find it not only ironic but diabolical to the memory of those two little boys killed and all the others injured, including my own mother-in-law, that we have people now in our town who want to raise funds/ celebrate this current leader of the Labour party with all his mitigating past evidence of support for those same terrorists and who won’t condemn them specifically.
