I HAVE just taken the time to look at the Warrington Local Development Plan.

The document frequently refers to other documents and advises that you can click ‘here’ to see them online.

Even towards the end of the consultation period, this fairly basic feature does not work with at least one link missing and almost all others taking you back to the homepage of the plan, not the relevant document.

It would seem that the council is carelessly or deliberately obscuring the details of this plan which seems designed to destroy the green belt and commit the town to another generation of traffic chaos so much worse than we have now.

Adding thousands of houses to green belt land when the town is about to experience an unwelcome boost in traffic from those avoiding the Mersey Gateway tolls is going to make living in Warrington less attractive with fewer green spaces and no separation from Halton.

One can only presume that the council is run by people with no interest in the people or future of Warrington.

I would therefore encourage people to sign the petition against the plan.
