DO you want to accept Warrington Borough Council and the developers plans to build all over our green belt and drive dual carriageways through our villages and communities?

There is a way to fight back, which some Warrington councillors and developers don’t want you to know about.

A Neighbour Development Plan (NDP) gives local communities direct power to develop a shared vision for their neighbourhood and shape the development and growth of their local area.

Communities can even get 25 per cent of the revenues from the community infrastructure levy developers have to pay, so the cash is spent locally, how you want, in your community and not how WBC decides.

An NDP is your right and the councillors and planners have to listen to you.

Cheshire Community Action will tell you everything you want to know about NDPs on August 31 at 6pm at St Matthew’s Church Hall Stretton Road.

As Fly in the Ointment wrote last week (Warrington Guardian, August 17), if WBC’s local plan is confirmed now, it will be no good complaining in the future when the bulldozers turn up.

I urge all the concerned people of Appleton, Grappenhall, Moore, Penketh, Sankey, Stockton Heath, Stretton, Thelwall, Walton.

This isn’t a done deal. Make your voice heard.

Go along to the meeting and tell a friend about what’s happening.
