WHEN is something going to be done about Penketh Health Centre?
The way it is run is appalling, nothing short of disgraceful and totally shambolic.
I am a senior citizen (in my late 70s).
I had to queue in pouring rain on Wednesday for an appointment from 8am until the doors open at 8.30am to be told all doctor appointments had gone.
When I questioned the receptionist, she was off hand and told me I could see the nurse instead.
Surely we should be able to see a doctor on the day required?
I have tried ringing but nobody answered the phone or it is continually engaged.
I actually rang 51 times and got nowhere.
I have lived in Penketh all my life and have never known the service to be so inadequate as it is at the moment.
I am now looking to move to another practice as Penketh Health Centre is not offering patients a good service.
I am also contacting the council to see what can be done.
The people of Penketh and Great Sankey do not deserve this treatment.
