FOR about the 100th time, I arrived at Central Station and was unable to buy a ticket without missing my train.
There were massive queues, hardly any staff and automated machines broken. I have complained about this before and no action has been taken.
I told the ticket checker I would buy a ticket on the train – he got very aggressive.
A fellow passenger had to intervene to tell him it was illegal for him to harass me in this way.
The station manager became involved. He even stated that there were a lot of police in Manchester now because of the bombing.
Totally inappropriate as I could buy a ticket on the train or in Manchester – plus it is impossible to leave Manchester station without a ticket.
What is going on at this station?
Utterly failing to provide customer service on every level.
