THE British Medical Association has stated that the current A&E crisis is the worst on record and the NHS will not be able to cope unless the Government takes action.

In real terms nurses are suffering a shortfall in wages of £2,000 per annum with the number of unfulfilled nursing posts increased by more than a third.

There are nearly 7,000 fewer mental health nurses since 2010 while the £22 billion cuts in the name of efficiency seem to have been poorly spent with £20 billion going to agency staff.

There has been an increase of more than 75 per cent in privatisation since the Conservatives came to power and £20 million of donations to them from private health companies coincides with; the number of hospital beds being cut by 15,000, 40 per cent of walk in centres closed, 35 per cent increase in urgent operations cancelled leading to 3.5million people on waiting lists, a decrease in NHS spending per patient and 66 per cent of NHS trusts were in deficit.

Should they fail it will be the taxpayer that foots the bill.

I would just like to add that I fully understand and appreciate the hard work front line NHS staff do.

I don’t need Tory sycophants trying to attain the moral high ground by feigning indignation and pretending this is anything other than condemning the perverse actions of the twisted government they are so wholeheartedly supporting in the attempted destruction of the world’s greatest health service.

Should the Cons return to power the Brexit fiasco will continue, forcing May to go cap in hand to Trump for trade deals.

In return he will demand the keys to the NHS leaving her no option but to comply.

The NHS was built on the principles and needs for the children of our grandparents and parents who had just fought and won the greatest ever battle for democracy.

The vast majority of people in the UK don’t want to be a part of the generation that timidly gives the NHS away to spivs and speculators.
