THIS is the first time I have felt it necessary to a write to a newspaper but I wanted to share an experience that I had recently as a patient at the cardiac cath lab unit at Warrington Hospital.
One hears of horror stories regarding the NHS but I would like to place on record that my experience was outstanding.
The care, attention, warmth, kindness and professionalism I enjoyed was commendable.
The staff were stretched with one staff nurse seeing to the patients and trying to answer the phone at the same time.
Despite an obvious shortage of staff, the medical team ensured that we were all looked after extremely well and safely.
I never expected to enjoy an experience at a hospital but I certainly did on this occasion. Our NHS needs more resources but let’s not keep putting them down.
