WITH reference to the parking machines at Warrington Hospital and causing disabled people great distress (Warrington Guardian, May 4).
I discovered last week on a visit to the maxillo facial unit that the parking scheme is administered by Paybyphone.
I registered with them a few weeks ago to park at Central Station. It works that you register a card with them.
Then whenever you park, number plates are scanned by camera.
You have up to midnight on the day you park to ring them or text them.
They have your card number. You enter the number code of the location where you parked.
They verify your car registration number and you add security code.
Then the number of hours you have been parked.
And hey presto, you have paid for your parking without having to find a machine.
