REFER to John Simpson’s letter (Warrington Guardian, April 27), in which he refers to the waste of taxpayers’ money by Warrington Borough Council on Richmond Avenue.
The road in Mr Simpson’s opinion did not require resurfacing.
Yet there is a road no more than a mile away from him that requires resurfacing urgently.
We are in the fourth year of waiting for Shadewood Crescent to be resurfaced.
The present road surface is full of holes and deep cracks.
The road surface is crumbling and offers no help to a motorist to make safe, effective braking.
For more than 28 years Warrington transport used Shadewood Crescent as a primary bus route until that route finished two years ago. In that time it only ever had one surface dressing Once again WBC is prioritising the wrong schemes.
