HOW dispiriting to see so many empty spaces at The Halliwell Jones Stadium on Saturday night.
This is a side that won the league leaders’ shield, were in the Challenge Cup final, the Grand Final and were playing one of the top Australian sides.
And yet so many so-called supporters could not be bothered to turn out.
Did you go to Wembley and Old Trafford? And yet you could not go to The Halliwell Jones Stadium?
When you see the crowds that turn up for that alternative inferior rugby code, you have to wonder if a town like Warrington really wants a rugby league team.
This is written before the Wigan game and I’ll bet the DW is sold out.
Dear, oh dear, oh dear.
