I AM a member of internet groups of ladies who restore vintage prams.

I am lucky enough to own an Osnath which was made in Warrington in the 1950s.

A friend has several of these prams and many people spend hundreds of pounds on the restoration, not only for sentimental reasons but also for the glimpse of social history, for their elegance and for the engineering skill involved in manufacturing them.

We meet up in many parts of the country to take prams to heritage days, steam rallies, vintage fairs, re-enactments and summer fetes.

The prams always arouse a great deal of interest and so we take the opportunity to raise money for local charities such as children’s hospices, baby care units etc.

Those of us who own Osnaths would very much enjoy an opportunity to visit Warrington, to see what remains of the Osnath works (which I believe is now a fireplace showroom) and perhaps to join a heritage day or something similar.

Please may I ask if you could forward this letter to anyone who may be organising such an event in 2017 or perhaps let me have their contact details?

And if there is anyone who had any contact with, or knowledge of the Osnath factory when it was manufacturing prams, we would very much like to hear from them.
