I HAVE been a builder all my working life and am able to price any project.

When scaffolding is required the jobs escalate in price.

It is needed for safety on a first class job and is then dismantled and taken off hire.

I was appalled to see about 15 jobs at least on Poplars Avenue with scaffolding and on passing several times, I witnessed nobody on them.

But I did see three or four scaffolding hire trucks. I can imagine their bosses rubbing their hands in glee.

What a decision to allow all this scaffolding and then to see it appearing to be standing idle.

A decision made by an inept part of the council.

No worries. Our council tax will rise four per cent or six per cent to cover the outrageous decision of the faceless wonders.
