I REFER to Dorothy Carter’s letter of October 28 regarding joining forces to address the state of roads and pavements in Grappenhall.

Let me tell you Dorothy I bring everything to the attention of the parish council and ask for it to be discussed a the monthly parish council meetings.

The majority of the time the response I get is that the issue has been passed onto WBC and nothing ever gets done.

Shadewood Crescent has been on the list to be resurfaced for more than three years and we are still waiting.

The parish councillors, some of whom are borough councillors, are basically a waste of time.

The borough councillors are not fighting our corner for these type of things while Labour councillors in the north of the town are.

Of course it assists them to have a majority in the council which means they can approve most motions they make.

Dorothy we never see our councillors only when they want our votes – that’s why things aren’t happening with our roads and pavements in Grappenhall.
