I ATTENDED the AMET charity dinner in Manchester on Friday.
Around 300 plus guests and I were trying to raise money for various charities.
Every year we get sportsmen who give up their time for free to support this event.
I would like to make a special mention to a sportsman who lives in Warrington – the boxer Martin Murray.
This man is a credit to his sport and a great ambassador to Warrington.
I had met Martin at this event the previous year so I made a point of meeting him again.
He never gets tired of talking to you and posing for photos.
He always makes you feel so special when chatting to you.
Warrington must be very proud of Martin, I know the boxing world think very highly of him.
Would you please mention his lovely wife Gemma who was in attendance with him and even successful in her bid in buying a Warrington Wolves shirt.
Well done to this young couple who have not let success go to their head. A credit to Warrington.
