I WHOLEHEARTEDLY agree with the views of John Ratcliffe in his letter (Warrington Guardian September, 15).
Peel Holdings are an absolute disgrace.
If they had any decency about themselves they would have participated in the council’s contact for re-surfacing Station Road.
We are now left with a section of road over the Cantilever which resembles that of a banana republic.
I have dealt with Peel Holdings on a professional level in the past and found them extremely arrogant and intransigent. Little wonder they can’t be persuaded to repaint the swing bridges.
When they acquired the then Manchester Ship Canal all those years ago it provided them with an enormous development potential for the land adjoining the canal.
It’s about time they started putting something back into the community.
