YOUR recent report of people dumping rubbish is of the council’s own making (Warrington Guardian, August 25).
At one time you could have the articles removed free.
Then the council started to charge £20 for the removal of junk articles from people’s property.
This service was not taken up by residents hence the recent spate of rubbish dumping.
Warrington Borough Council needs to start the service once again if this kind of thing is to stop.
This is a problem in many places not just in Warrington, so instead of trying to blame the people they want to sort out the issue fast. Also you have in Warrington so-called grime warden’s environmental enforcement all costing a fortune and actually not solving the problems.
Sack all these jobsworths and put skips on the estates for people to clear junk again.
