ON Saturday night, myself and six friends went to a fundraising evening at Grappenhall Ex-Servicemen’s Club.

The fundraiser was in aid of Hope Tea.

Two vivacious young girls, Hayley and Emma, are trying to raise funds to put on an afternoon tea dance for more than 100 older Warrington people at the Village Hotel in the town centre.

The energy these two young girls have is outstanding and they are such a credit to younger people of today.

They held an auction and a raffle, along with a disco.

The night was an absolute success, and a great time was had by all.

People got to meet new friends, and new social networks were created.

Hope Tea has already had recognition from the prime minister David Cameron at Christmas time for their efforts.

Hayley and Emma are two fantastic young stars of Warrington and deserve all the credit that they get.

Warrington should certainly get behind their efforts and support all they do.
