SOME recent letters from Leave EU campaigners would amuse me if the subject wasn’t so serious.

They seek to decry the myriad of economic and business experts (I repeat experts) who point out the likely losses to our economy, NHS, employment rights, etc, if we leave.

They generally use the soundbite friendly term ‘Project Fear’.

Ironically they then produce apocalyptic visions of their own and embark on their own Project Fear.

Well I know which group I would rather trust – the experts.

On a connected matter, if Mr Buttery (Warrington Guardian, May 19) is so concerned about the expenditure of taxpayer money, he should hope that the UKIP MEPs who have failed to do their job representing us in Europe, including supporting moves to protect our industry, step down.
