LAST week I went to my polling station to cast my votes in the local elections.
The ballot papers for the PCC and local council had all the major parties listed along with others.
When I came to look at the ballot paper for the local parish councillors I couldn’t believe what I was seeing.
There were nine candidates, eight of which were up for election.
Out of the nine candidates, eight were representing the Liberal Democrats and the final one was representing TUSC.
How on earth can this be democracy?
In the end I put the ballot paper in the bin as none of the candidates were worthy of my vote.
