TREVOR Nicholls of UKIP invokes younger people in your article on the EU referendum (Warrington Guardian, March 24).
And indeed they will have to live with the outcome far longer than middle-aged blokes such as Mr Nicholls and myself.
He may therefore be disappointed by the evidence that the under 25s are more likely to be in favour of staying in the EU.
Maybe they recognise our increased ability to deal with international crime and terrorism through, for example, European information sharing and the European arrest warrant that has been attacked by UKIP.
Just as likely they recognise that freedom of movement works both ways offering not only visa-free travelling but the opportunity to join the vast numbers of British people working in the EU.
The future is brighter if you look to the future not stare into UKIP’s rose tinted rear-view mirror.
