A EDWARDS accuses me of saying that I know more than the Chancellor – a typical extreme right wing effort at misinformation.

Although with his ‘poor 2.1 in modern history’ a maths O-level and work experience of towel folding I wouldn’t say that Osborne knows more than me either.

What I would say is that neither of us knows as much about economics as former Bank of England governor Mervyn King who states quite readily that Labour was not responsible for the last financial crash.

Also the Institute of Fiscal Studies relates that before the crash of 2007 public sector borrowing was below the level inherited in 1997.

I have also read the same article in the Financial Times from which much of A Edwards’ information was derived.

The article correctly points out that Ed Miliband had forgotten to mention the deficit in his speech, however it goes on to accuse Cameron of deceit, cooking the books, failing to use the Office for Budget Responsibility (an independent body he himself established to stop political deceit) and of being too arrogant to care.

So with a straightforward choice of forgetfulness or deceit A Edwards chooses to warn fellow Britons of the former while ignoring the latter.

Concerning the three quarters of a trillion pounds borrowed by the Conservatives since 2010 that A Edwards maintains goes nowhere.

I suggest it goes into the nontaxable off shore accounts of the super rich, less sums such as the £19 billion donated in 2015 into the Tory coffers enabling them to illegally overspend at elections.

And all paid for by the PAYE and small business tax payer ‘which is definitely a non-starter for credibility with the electorate’ should they ever get to hear about it that is.
