IT was with some amusement I read of young Josh Booth our latest career Labour politician and his obvious ‘Republican/leftie’ opinions (Warrington Guardian, January 14).
He obviously feels that the Government is responsible for the ever-increasing amount of litter on our streets and they should be responsible for picking it all up.
We are the ‘peasants’ in his classwar vision of life; how dare the Queen tell us all to clean the streets.
He thinks austerity is immoral and therefore making cuts is not the way to go when the country was saddled with a £160 billion deficit from Gordon Brown at the same time as having to bail out all our banks after Brown and Labour had let them lend money that they hadn’t got.
Aiming sarcasm at the Queen who is our country’s head of state is very immature.
This is the lady who at 90 is committing herself to her duties as she has done all of her long life.
Mr Booth is the man who instead of wanting to celebrate the Queen’s birthday prefers to organise a ‘fun night for guests including councillors, who wanted to learn about the man Jeremy Corbyn’.
