TWO weeks ago, Conservative George Osborne said there will be no cuts ‘at all’ to police budgets.
However, we now have our police and crime commissioner John Dwyer asking if the people of Cheshire would pay an extra £1.1million for the same level of service?
All this while the merging of head office and back offices between police and fire services are forecast to save £1.5 million per year – more than the amount asked for.
Help. What is going on?
