THE predictable traffic nightmare that plagues the M6 on a daily basis can cause even the most mildmannered of drivers to be reaching for the swear jar.

Each morning when I drive the 19 miles from Wigan to Warrington in a morning I find myself counting the wasted hours spent in traffic jams.

It is a little like counting sheep only I’m not laying in my cosy bed but stuck bumper to bumper with complete strangers who are attempting to manoeuvre their way through the morning rush hour.

Something needs to be done as the situation is only going to escalate as more housing developments jump up along the M6.

Anyone have a solution to the problem as I’m a breaking point?
