WEEK after week we write to our beloved Guardian having a tongue-in-cheek poke at our councillors, cyclists and our small bit of the world in general.

Last Friday night I was snoozing in the warmth of our cosy living room and was wakened by a news broadcaster announcing a terrorist attack in Paris.

The reporter was hysterical, fearing hostages were being held in a theatre. Sadly as we all know this was not the case; they were murdered in cold blood.

Warrington was targeted by terrorists for some unknown reason resulting in the death of two children resulting in out pouring of grief and personal tragedy.

Thankfully this resulted in the peace process and a period of nonviolence.

Our hearts go out to all the families and people of France affected by Friday’s act of war on the innocent people simply enjoying their lives.
