MANY thanks to Cllr Celia Jordan for responding (Warrington Guardian, October 29) to my letter about a new theatre.

I’m disappointed (but not surprised) that you dismiss my ideas and experience without detail.

If you and campaigners are so cocksure that buying or building yet another theatre is the way to go then I ask, where is it?

You’ve had nearly a decade.

You have no need to make distant assumptions about me, just ask your colleagues at Culture Warrington to actually reply to my emails (they’ve had three weeks).

I am no cravat and camomile tea luvvie – I want the arts to benefit the many not the few.

I’m here, fired up and willing to work for free.

I could write a full page vision for inclusive, cost effective art for everyone.

Sorry but I want more than Ikea displays and bottle decorating for my home town.

I remind all councillors, merely being elected does not make you creative geniuses or we would not have got the booby prize of the RSA survey.
