A LOT has been said about Jeremy Corbyn’s ‘unsuitability’ to be leader of the Labour party, let alone Prime Minister.

However I’m unclear as to how any political party could satisfy the various and competing – sometimes mutually exclusive – interests of Warrington’s residents, let alone a country of sixty-odd million people.

Rather, particular parties have policies which satisfy the desires and circumstances of particular groups and individuals and so none are good or bad for Warrington or the UK per se.

Having said that a lot of disinformation and spin has been poured over Mr Corbyn.

His regret about Osama bin Laden’s death, for example, was that a trial would have been better.

Indeed, the Nuremberg Trials demonstrated the banality of evil and bin Laden’s trial may have revealed him to have been a sad and pathetic little man.

Moreover it’s untrue that Labour’s spending bankrupted the country.

It’s certainly correct that its commitment to off-the-books PFI borrowing is bringing many hospitals to the brink of financial meltdown.

But the sorry state of UK PLC can be laid squarely at the door of the banks, the greed and irresponsibility of which has gone unpunished. Critics of his plan for a people’s quantitative easing to deal with the problem should be mindful of the uncertainty still surrounding the QE the coalition engaged in.

So if it’s good enough for them why is it such a stupid idea for Corbyn?

Finally, I’m unaware of any occasion when he has called terrorists friends, although I stand to be corrected.

However, if you only ever engage in dialogue with your friends, you’re condemned to keep on bombing your enemies.
