COULD I say well done to John Dwyer, police commissioner.
He has done a very good job of trying to modernise Cheshire Police with its outdated methods and made it fit for purpose once again.
Sadly jobs and police stations have to go in this day and age, they are not viable.
In London police community support officers will be made redundant.
One thousand will go and be replaced with volunteers, usually on a five-year contract.
PCSOs have been a disaster, they cause more problems than they solve.
The Government may issue orders for all PCSOs posts to be made redundant so you cannot blame John Dwyer.
It will be much cheaper with volunteers.
