I CANNOT understand why the people who operate the settings of the traffic light sequences have decided to make the lights at Crosfield Island and those at Cockhedge Island, operate in such a dangerous manner.
I am cautious about being trapped at red lights, in the smaller part of the island, when traffic behind me is left queuing out into the way of fast moving traffic going ahead.
Someone will be hit with this ridiculous situation continuing.
I have emailed the council and the reply was basically that the lights and sequences are in accordance with all regulations.
If anyone has an accident on either of these islands, due to being left out in the path of moving traffic, I suggest photographing the incident and all the surrounding traffic for insurance purposes and get as many witness statements as possible.
The council saw fit to spend thousands of pounds on the nonsensical 20mph speed limits in the name of road safety, which are always ignored it seems, but leave people vulnerable of this ridiculous light sequence.
