I AM writing to you to ask whether one of your readers has a guilty conscience when he or she scuffed my car in the underground car park in Golden Square.
Last Tuesday, July 21, I parked my car at 9.30am and on returning at around 11am I noticed scuff marks on the left side front which showed that either a white or silver car had caused damage.
The driver of the car must have known that they had touched my car by the extent of the scuff marks and the red marks of my paint on their car.
But they didn’t have the courtesy or honesty to leave a note on my windscreen with their details.
This irresponsible action is going to cost me more than £100 to repair.
Where does honesty feature in our society and has nobody got any respect for other people’s property?
If this has pricked somebody’s conscience perhaps they would contact the Guardian newsdesk.
