COUNCIL incompetency and blind hysterical approach has resulted in most vehicular routes being obstructed by unnecessary dangerous road cushions, humps and waste tarmac.
Orford is one area where the non-existence of properly maintained roads is prevalent.
Coupled with totally useless traffic light management has resulted in no decent synchronised traffic flow in or around Warrington. Only congestion and poor air conditions.
Junction 8 of the M62 is a typical example of poor traffic management and creation of unnecessary dangerous driving conditions.
Too many lights do not fulfil any visible benefit to traffic flow, and only cause queues of frustrated drivers (eg Kingswood Road/ Burtonwood Road, Stockton Heath centre).
The incomprehensible introduction of 20mph areas coupled with random 40mph areas mixed with 30mph roads has only added to this confusion with the result that many more motorists just ignore speeds and drive to road conditions.
Overall there is very poor management with parochial views of the road network and no sign of a general knowledge and appreciation of the need for good road network.
