THE budget.
Having listened to George Osborne talk about devolving powers to Scotland, Wales and a number of ‘super councils’ starting with Manchester I’m left with an unanswered question.
With all this devolving going on why do we need 650 MPs?
Surely they are devolving their jobs? In the private sector less work means less jobs so half of them would be redundant and having to start working for a living.
Now obviously this won’t happen but take note; an overstaffed public sector with bloated salaries and vastly overgenerous pensions is what caused the downfall of Greece.
Osborne is quite happy to wield the sword as long as the sharp bit goes nowhere near ‘the House of Commons crew’.
A lot of cities have problems with gangs but London’s ‘House of Commons crew’ have a hand in everything.
They make the mafia look like a benevolent society.
Just an observation.
