I REFER to the letter by David Thrower, from Stockton Heath, regarding motorists ignoring red traffic lights.
Although I don’t condone the motorists’ actions, if Mr Thrower had read my previous letter regarding the ridiculous phasing of traffic lights in Warrington he may understand why motorists act the way they do.
It is because they don’t want to wait five minutes to go through several phases of traffic lights to get where they want to.
The answer lies with the inefficient and ineffective phasing of the traffic light system covering the whole of Warrington.
The answer lies with Warrington Borough Council who live in the dark ages regarding progression, efficiency and effective traffic planning to get the traffic moving through this town.
