I HAVE just had to pay a parking charge of £40 plus handling charge at Warrington Hospital. I did appeal but it was rejected by Highview Parking.

On June 15, I took my father-in-law for a medical health check.

I used the parking bays at the back of the hospital.

When I went to pay for parking, the meters were not there although all of the parking fee signage and posts were still in place.

I then walked over to the multi storey parking area to purchase a parking ticket only to find that the machines had also been removed.

Again, all of the parking fee information was in place but no machines.

As there were no signs in place informing users that the machines had been relocated I assumed that they were in the process of replacing or upgrading the machines.

As the appointment time for my father-in-law was fast approaching I didn’t have time to go searching for any machines.

I did explain all of this to Highview Parking but they would not accept my appeal.

I hope that you do not mind me contacting you, but I am also a pensioner with early stages of leukaemia and £40 is a large amount from my pension.
