New CCTV taxi charges are unfair
WITH reference to the article 'Taxi drivers made to pay for CCTV', Warrington Guardian, May 14.
The CCTV system can be bought and installed for £150.
So why are the council suppliers charging in the region of £500?
The bulk of Warrington South, Westbrook, Great Sankey, Old Hall and Lingley Mere, is marked by Saints Cars and Britannia Cars. Between 25 and 30 are plated in St Helens but are working in Warrington. They do not need CCTV.
What does the council have to say about this?
