WHAT is going on in Warrington? One of the most stunning views across the Cheshire plain from Mr Smith’s being turned into a youth zone?
This land, with some of the best views in Cheshire, old Academy, old bridge over River Mersey and nearby Marshall Gardens, should be turned into apartments.
Where is the vision in this town?
It could be the first area in the town to have £1 million apartments built for the people seeking an iconic location.
In Chester, Manchester or Liverpool the river setting would add pounds to a sale on the River Dee, the Mersey and the canals of Manchester.
A youth club would be a waste of money. They cannot get the young people into the youth clubs they have already — they stay on their computers.
Sorry, but if Warrington needs a new youth club then build it near the bus station in one of the empty shops and offices rotting in the town centre, not on a piece of land that could sell apartments for profit.
