WITH the overwhelming victory by the Conservatives in the latest election and their announcement to reform the welfare budget further, I think the announcement to reduce long term families relying on benefits' annual benefits from £26,000 to £23,000 does not go far enough.

Where I am employed, people are getting up at 2am to start a nine- or 10-hour shift at 4am to receive less than that.

These people have mortgages, bills and childcare to pay for as well as prescriptions, dental care and optical care out of their salary.

Yet the benefit lifestylers lie in bed until lunchtime and spend time in the pubs and bookies.

£10,000 a year is more than enough if you want to live on benefits. After all, you are getting it for free.

Do not forget these lifestylers get free prescriptions, dental care and optical care on top of their benefits.

Its an absolute disgrace that people on benefits are getting more money than a person who is prepared to get out of bed and go and do a hard day's work.

Like smoking and drink-driving, living the benefit lifestyle should be socially unacceptable
