CAN I say well done to police and crime commissioner John Dwyer.

He has made Cheshire Police more efficient and cut out a lot of waste.

With the advance of computers the loss of police stations is a fact of life. Many will be closed and it will save a lot of money. I myself would close down Stockton Heath office.

It is a waste of resources, being so close to Runcorn and Warrington stations.

It serves no useful purpose and to me seems like an anachronism.

If the Labour party did what the Tories are now doing with Merlyn Rees, instead of backing down to the unions, we would have a police service fit for purpose.

The Stockton Heath Station would make a fine wine bar with its history.
