DESPITE evidence to the contrary from internationally-respected economists, including the Conservative party’s own Ramesh Patel, A Edwards continually implies that Labour left the country in a mess in 2010.
Cameron said a similar thing in the House of Commons and was forced, by the Speaker, to retract his statement and apologise to the House for his error.
A rather polite way of saying he was being economical with the truth, or as Benjamin Franklin said: “Tricks and treachery are the practice of fools that don’t have brains enough to be honest.”
