What really was the point of the game with the St George-Illawarra Dragons?
After two hard Super League games the last thing that Wolves needed was a bruising, nothing at stake, battle with the Dragons.
The inevitable injuries happened and an exhausted team was then expected to go to Catalans and win.
Yes, the game was entertaining but to Wolves’ detriment.
Yes, it gave a good workout for the Dragons before their season starts.
It might have satisfied a few egos but I hope that it does not affect the rest of the season with winning the Grand Final paramount.
