IN reply to Ruth Collins’ letter in last week’s Guardian regarding parking in mother and child spaces, not all children are in school and are under school age who use them and we have priority to use the spaces night and day.
I am so angry when both spaces are abused by people who just don’t care but I certainly don’t agree with disabled people using parent spaces at all as this leaves us with no option than to squeeze into a normal parking space which is very difficult.
I feel that we have the right to park in disabled spaces if there are no free parent spaces and not feel too guilty about doing it in future.
I will keep a copy of your letter in my car in case I have anyone speaking to me while parking there.
