THE Labour candidate for Warrington South is again promoting his own brand of half truths in his quest for Westminster.

He wants voters to believe the choice on May 7 is between himself and the Conservatives.

He knows that the seat is a threeway marginal, with Lib Dems equally well placed to win. Fewer than 5,000 votes separated the three parties in 2010.

Lib Dems increased their vote, as they have in the last four general elections, while Labour’s share dropped by more than eight per cent.

The Labour candidate relentlessly attacks the Coalition for ‘giving tax breaks to millionaires’ yet publicly boasts of receiving a five-figure handout from one of those millionaires to fund his Warrington campaign.

The choice for Warrington South on May 7 is clear: Lib Dem’s Bob Barr, who has lived in the constituency for more than 30 years and served as a borough and parish councillor for more than 10 years, or the Labour candidate, a career politician who has never tried to serve the town in this way, or the incumbent Conservative, representing a party that is swinging further to the right to offset the continued drain of votes to UKIP.
