MONDAY, February 2 marked the launch of the new Act Fast campaign to raise awareness of stroke spearheaded by the Public Health England.
Warrington and Halton NHS Foundation Trust had a stroke event planned for the same day.
It had been advertised on the home page of the hospitals website for weeks. This event did not need to be booked.
I have an interest in stroke and decided to turn up only to find out the event was cancelled.
The event had been cancelled early the previous week but was still advertised prominently on the hospital’s home page.
It comes as no surprise to me that Warrington and Halton NHS Foundation Trust cancels a stroke event demonstrating, again, that they don’t take stroke seriously.
